Most people use GCash to pay, send money, and buy load. If you shop online, a few other features can help you keep track of vouchers, stop unwanted charges, and set money aside. Here are five GCash features that GCash’s own help center describes, and what each one is for. I’m not calling them secrets: they’re just easy to miss.

The five features at a glance

Five GCash features for online shoppers (GCash Help Center, October 2026)
Feature What it does Where to find it
A+ Rewards Free or discounted vouchers for Fully Verified users Tap A+ Rewards in the app
Voucher Pocket Shows your claimed vouchers as active, used, or expired Profile, then Voucher Pocket
Subscription Center Lets you unlink a merchant from your GCash account In the app, under subscriptions
GSave Savings accounts with partner banks GSave in the app
Report an unrecognized payment Starts a report for a charge you don’t recognize Help, then chat with GCash’s assistant

1. A+ Rewards

GCash says A+ Rewards gives Fully Verified users free or discounted vouchers for shopping, dining, gaming, travel, and digital subscriptions. Open the app, tap A+ Rewards, pick a voucher, and tap Claim Now or Buy Now. Check the expiry date and the merchants it applies to before you use it.

2. Voucher Pocket

Voucher Pocket is where promo vouchers you’ve claimed live. The GCash guide says to tap Profile, then Voucher Pocket, to see your active, used, and expired vouchers. If a voucher isn’t working, check first whether it has expired.

3. Subscription Center

Some merchants can be linked to your GCash for recurring charges, such as subscriptions. GCash says you can unlink a merchant through the Subscription Center in the app. If you want to cancel a subscription, you should also cancel it with the merchant. Read GCash’s guide to unlinking GCash from another app.

4. GSave

GSave lets you open savings accounts with partner banks inside the app. Rates and limits differ by bank. For example, GCash’s page lists CIMB’s GSave at 2.30% a year as of June 2026. Read the details on the GSave rates page, and read our money app guides for context. This isn’t financial advice.

5. Reporting a payment you don’t recognize

GCash’s help center says that if your account was charged for an online payment or subscription you don’t recognize, you should first check whether it’s a forgotten subscription, a free trial that renewed, or a payment made through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. If you still don’t recognize it, you can report it. GCash says to log in, tap Help, and use the chat option to start a report, and a representative will get in touch. See the GCash page on unrecognized payments.

A quick safety checklist

  • Keep your GCash app updated and your phone locked with a passcode
  • Don’t keep a large balance for online shopping, and top up only what you need
  • Check your transaction history after each purchase
  • Unlink merchants you no longer use
  • Never share your OTP or MPIN with anyone

Frequently asked questions

Are these features free?

The features themselves are part of the app. Some vouchers or products cost money, and each one has its own terms, so read them first.

Do I need to be Fully Verified?

GCash says A+ Rewards is for Fully Verified users. Other features may also depend on your verification level.

Will the app menus look the same?

Not always. GCash updates its app often, so use the app’s search or the help center if you can’t find something.

Can GCash get my money back from a shop?

GCash says merchants handle refunds. It can check a transaction or unlink the merchant, but you contact the shop about the order.

Bottom line

  • Before you shop: check A+ Rewards and Voucher Pocket for vouchers.
  • After you shop: check your history, and unlink merchants you don’t use.
  • If something looks wrong: report it inside the app.

Features and menus change, so check GCash’s help center for the latest steps.
